Sahara So Good, Morrocco

The latest cinematic masterpiece to benefit from our help and advice is Sahara, a $150million budget action movie, due to hit the screens in November, 2004.

Duncan Barbour braved snow, rain, wind, heat, cold, snowstorms and ice during his time on the project - he left Scotland on 19 January and returned on 24 April.

The BATTMOBILE© was used at three locations in Morocco: Erfoud, Marakesh and Oujda. During this project, Big Dunc drove 5,500 miles, used 600 gallons of fuel and stayed in 20 different hotels ‹ it took seven days travelling each way between Scotland and Morocco.

Among the many scenes for which the BATT was used, the one involving the train and the camels (which you can see for yourself in the picture and was the first camel-to-train stunt that has been done) was typical of this adventure movie.

The fast work on the desert was ideal to bring out the best in both the BATT and Duncan ‹ and removed a sizeable headache from the guys shooting the movie. « Return to main Camera Tracking page
